Fūjin Izakaya stepped beyond the familiar and extending its culinary journey to a wider audience. With a reputation for blending traditional techniques and contemporary twists, this second branch is set to elevate the izakaya experience in Jakarta’s vibrant northern neighborhood.

This second branch is the extension of the first establishment in Gunawarman. Only this time, it brings newness. Freshness. Special menu! You'll read about it later in this article.
The remark shall start with the setting. With two expansive floors, the interior is designed to cater to various preferences. The first floor is perfect for dining with an open and vibrant atmosphere, while the upper floor provides a more secluded setting with koshitu cubicles and tatami-style private rooms. These features are specifically designed to recreate the traditional izakaya experience while adding a familiar touch to ensure everyone feels at home.
From A to Z, bringing forward the true essence of Omote-ura nashi.
“Since the very beginning, Fūjin Izakaya is built on the foundation of omote-ura nashi: the traditional Japanese art of hospitality. The term became our backbone and we live by it, giving wholesome service with thoughtfulness and sincerity, from picking and preparing the best ingredients, serving it on the table, to anticipating customer's needs through and through.” shared Banny Parasutha, Operational Manager of Fūjin Izakaya.
“As a result, we try to master the whole process, even the ones you can't see upfront, like choosing the right plate, the right color, the right decor. Things like that. I'd like to say, we're here in the pursuit of perfection. Japanese has a term for that. It is kodawari.“
The heart of Fūjin Izakaya lies in its wholesome culinary delights.
Rui Yamagishi (Chef Owner of Fūjin Izakaya) shared with us, “We focus on maintaining the rich Japanese tradition in our menu while adding our own modern twists. Here you’ll find a wide variety of classic and contemporary izakaya-style dishes, from kushiyaki and robatayaki to the classic beloved ramen. We also bring a few signature highball creations to elevate the drinking experience. For those looking for non-alcoholic options, matcha is the star of the show. We carefully curated the premium ingredients for our signature beverages, such as Strawberry Matcha Latte and Matcha Chizu.”
In the dessert section, Pastry Chef Nabila Yoestino has cooked up a storm and bring you specialties like Matcha Crème Brûlée, the menu brought here a long way from Rayjin Bali as an homage to where it all began. The Miso Caramel Cake is also one to look for, as it is a nod to Japanese savory paste in the form of a sweet dessert. Authentic & charming, this wider dessert selection wraps up the dining experience on a high note.
